This is the one where we announce our selections for 2 Post Scholarships of $1500 each; present our Post 43 Citizen of the Year for 2013; and honor our Past Commanders of Post 43.
This Social & Dinner is Saturday, April 20th. The Social Hour starts at 6pm; Dinner at 7pm; with the Program to follow. As in the past, this will be held at Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 and it is open to the public. Here are the details:
Menu: Our World Famous Kendall Cooks will be preparing the dinner consisting of Baked Spiral Cut Ham, augratin potatoes, baked beans, corn, salad and dinner rolls. Our pastry master, Lee Lindberg, will again be offering his very delicious desserts. The dinner price remains at $12pp payable at the door. We are able to hold our prices the same as we have for a number of years and as long as we are efficient on the reservations part, we will not be forced to disposed of any food.
Entertainment: As listed previously, we will present our 2 Post Scholarships to deserving students; present our Citizen of the Year; and honor our 72 Past Commanders. And we may have some new "Ole & Sven" humor from Lee Lindberg as he will have just returned from a trip to Sweden.
Social theme: Come and enjoy the evening with your fellow Veterans and their family.
Reservations Deadline: I would like to have your confirmed reservations no later than Wednesday, April 17th.
